Each year, grants and scholarships are given in and around communities where Taco Bell® does business. These efforts are made possible because of generous customers, employees, vendor partners and local Taco Bell® leadership. Since 2014, the Taco Bell Foundation has been following an invitation-only application process.
Since the Taco Bell Foundation follows an invitation-only application process, how do you identify potential grantees?
We seek out organizations that align with our mission to help young people pursue their educational goals and career aspirations. Together with local Taco Bell® leadership, we identify organizations and programs that align with our funding guidelines and build tomorrow’s leaders.
When will organizations be notified they have been invited to submit an application?
Organizations are identified in the spring and are invited to apply in June. All invited organizations will be notified with the final decision on their application by end of August 2019. We appreciate applicant’s patience as we carefully review all requests and notify each organization.
Why doesn’t the Taco Bell Foundation accept proposals?
Unfortunately, we don’t have the resources to review unsolicited materials. While we would like to partner with all non-profit organizations, we regrettably are unable to do so.
What types of organizations does the Taco Bell Foundation fund?
We support 501(c)(3) IRS approved organizations that empower youth (ages 16-24) to discover and pursue their career and educational pathways. Examples include, but are not limited to: financial literacy workshops, mentorship and job skill experiences, college readiness programming, creative and social innovation experiences, and direct financial assistance.
What types of organizations and programs are not eligible for funding?
- Debt reduction, capital campaigns, endowments, annual fund appeals
- Individuals (Taco Bell Foundation scholarship recipients excluded)
- Projects/programs limited to a specific race, creed, national origin, handicap or ethnicity
- Program costs that have already concluded
- Events, venues, clubs and associations linked to a specific political party or religion
What is the general grant size?
Taco Bell Foundation does not have a fixed grant range. Many factors, including the proposed program and funds available, determine grant amounts. Based on the previous years, grant amounts typically range from $2,500 to $100,000.
